Light
Shot in the two hours the house actually looks good, with the interior balanced against the window instead of blown out. No HDR halos, no orange casts, no flash.
The photography
This is not a renovation. Same building, same stone fireplace, same arched window, same log bed. What changed is the photograph: the hour it was taken, what was in the frame, and how it was graded.
A guest deciding at eleven at night is not reading a spec sheet. They are trying to picture their family in the room. That is the whole job of the first six photographs.
We kept the existing frames on the left of every slider so the comparison is honest. On the right is a directional re-shoot of the same room, produced the way we would shoot the whole portfolio: one photographer, one styling kit, one grade across all forty homes so the site feels like one company instead of forty listings.

The same siding, the same stone pillars, the same arched window. Shot at blue hour with the interior lights on instead of midday sun, the satellite dish gone, and a grade that sits next to the rest of the site.

Same fireplace, same vaulted pine ceiling, same sliding doors. Restyled with one linen sectional and a walnut table instead of four recliners.

Counters cleared to three objects, the busy runner swapped for a flat weave, verticals straightened.

White linen, one wool throw, the wall sculpture gone. The log frame and the window stay exactly where they are.
Shot in the two hours the house actually looks good, with the interior balanced against the window instead of blown out. No HDR halos, no orange casts, no flash.
Counters cleared, the busy runner rolled up, white linen on the beds, one vase instead of fourteen knick knacks. Nothing is thrown away, it is just out of frame.
Water first, then the room with the view, then where everyone sleeps, then the dock and the deck. The order answers the questions guests ask on the phone.
The shoot
We would shoot in blocks by cove to keep travel down, two houses a day, and deliver a set that works on the site, on Google, and in the booking system. The same frames feed the cards, the detail pages, the social posts and the printed guest book in the office.
What it changes
This page uses one home to show direction rather than a finished portfolio.
See the whole homeShoot Majestic Mountain Lodge first. If the numbers move, we book the rest of the portfolio by cove.
